Fitness Class Descriptions - 12 and older

"BOSU": Integrates balance and stabilization with exercises that challenge the cardiovascular/aerobec system, muscle strength and endurance or flexibility.

"ZUMBA”: Join the latest craze around. Eliminate the "work” from working out by combining amazing, irresistible Latin and international music with dynamic, yet simple exercise moves, using their unique intermittent training format.

"STEPTASTIC": A muti-intense workout which utilizes and adjustable step bench. Includes floor work to strengthen and tone, followed by a stretching segment. Basic Step- A beginner step class with basic moves, learn step moves and terminology. Level III-IV

"BODY SCULPT”: An intense body shaping and strengthening class utilizing hand weights, resistance tubing, body bars, balls etc. Class ends with abdoiminal work and a stretching segment. Level III-IV. Instructor can show modified versions on some moves.

"PILATES/YOGA”: This class format will be determined by the instructor. Both formats will strengthen and redefine the body. Based on balance, core strength and flexibility. Level II-IV. Modified versions offered.

"T’AI-CHI”: For health and stress management. Increases balance, strength, flexibility, memory and helps boost immune, circulatory system and bone density. Low weight bearing exercises. Level I-IV.

"PACESETTERS”: A low impact cardiovascular and toning class designed for the senior adult 50 and older. Level II-III.

"REVIVE & REBUILD”: An integrated exercise approach to increase range of motion, endurance, stability, and muscular strength. Level I-II

"SILVER SNEAKERS”: Muscular strength and Range of Movement- Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercise designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Level I-II.

"SHALLOW WATER”: This class begins with a warm-up followed by a cardio/toning low impact workout with the benefit of constant resistance. Class ends with a cool down and stretching segment. Level III-IV.

"DEEP WATER”: Enjoy an intense cardiovascular, abdominal and muscle strengthening class using water flotation belts and dumbbells/resistance gloves for added resistance and core training. This is a zero impact class. Level III-IV.

"NICE N’ EASY”: This a range of motion shallow water exercise class. This class will work on toning, balance, and strength through a variety of Nice N’ Easy exercises including Water Walking. Nice N’ Easy is for EVERYONE, including those who suffer from any joint problems, recovering from strokes, pre and post surgery.
