Scheduled Entertainers:

The Duncan Area Arts Hall of Fame is scheduled for the evening of January 29, 2022. In addition to awards being presented, there will be live entertainment.

Audrey McConnell-Calger will be sharing her lovely voice with the audience. Calger was a police officer in Duncan for 25 years. She sang at many public events when she resided here - schools, churches, Senior Olympics, the County Fair, and more. Even though she now lives in Tuttle, she is the Music Director at the True Gospel Tabernacle Church here in Duncan.

Marc Sutton, a master trumpeter, will be performing a song as well. Sutton is a 2007 graduate of Duncan High School and is currently a teacher and a performer in the Austin, Texas area. His education includes a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Trumpet Performance from Texas Tech University, a Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Oklahoma.

The Heartbeat Dance Academy will be show-casing their most advanced dance group for the evening’s event. The Academy is celebrating its 37th year as a dance studio in Duncan. Several former dancers have received degrees at the collegiate level for dance performance and dance education, as well as have taken their training to the professional level with careers in the entertainment industry.

Summer Breeze has always been known as one of the top cover bands in the state and has had the opportunity to be the opening act for over 75 of Nashville’s top recording artists throughout their career. In 2021, Summer Breeze celebrated their 45th anniversary. Winners of numerous music awards, this group will be performing in a unique manner entertaining the audience with two songs, unplugged.

Kyle Gossett, a Duncan native, has blessed the Hall of Fame audience for two years with his phenomenal piano playing during the reception. This time he will be performing on keyboard throughout the awards show. His live music will be a welcoming addition to the event, providing constant entertainment to where there is never a dull moment.

Don’t miss all of this greatness taking place on the evening of Saturday, January 29 at the Simmons Center Theater. More information about inductees and tickets coming soon.
