Entertainment selected for 2023 DAAHOF Awards!
The Duncan Area Arts Hall of Fame is scheduled for the evening of January 28, 2023. In addition to awards being presented, there will be incredible live entertainment.
Veronica Hodgson, an opera singer and nationally known vocal teacher, will amaze the crowd with her vibrant vocals. She will also have some select students as her singing guests, which will make her performance exceptionally grand.
The Heartbeat Dance Academy will be show-casing one of their spectacular competition dance groups for the evening’s event, where the audience will be in awe at the talent of these young dancers. The Academy is celebrating its 38th year as a dance studio in Duncan. Several former dancers have received degrees at the collegiate level for dance performance and dance education, as well as have taken their training to the professional level with careers in the entertainment industry.
Kyle Gossett, a Duncan native, has blessed the Hall of Fame audience since the initial event in 2018. He is scheduled to return with a few OKC Improv members for some impromptu, musical humor. Like last year, he will also be performing on keyboard throughout the awards show. His live music will provide constant entertainment to where there is never a dull moment.
Wood Willow is a band armed with a repertoire of harmony-filled traditional and original music. Their music brings old time sounds into the present. The female singer, Becca Herrod Parks, is the granddaughter of the 2019 Hall of Fame Inductee, Bob Gilmore. Blake Parks will be joining the group on his fiddle and his wife will be performing on Cyr wheel.
Announcement on Inductees will be coming soon!
